    Christmas Sugar Cookies

    Christmas Sugar Cookies

    Ingredients:

    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. butter, softened
    1 1/3 c. white sugar
    6 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract

    Directions:

    Stir flour and salt together. In a separate bowl combine butter, white sugar, egg yolks, vanilla and almond extract beat until light.  Then add to the flour mixture. Roll the dough out on floured board and use a Christmas tree or desired Christmas cookie cutter to cut into shapes.
    Bake at 350°F until lightly browned. To decorate cookies use powdered sugar frosting. You can use food coloring for fun holiday colors.
